During an international police conference in London, Aramaki takes a moment to reconnect with an ex-girlfriend who has transitioned into the wine brokering industry. She seeks his assistance in tackling the corruption plaguing her company, but he explains that he can't intervene as it's beyond his authority. Suddenly, their conversation is interrupted when two armed intruders storm the building, taking both of them hostage.
