Sugimoto endures brutal torture at the hands of twin brothers Youhei and Kouhei Nikaido. Just then, Shiraishi sneaks into Sugimoto's cell, freeing him and enabling Sugimoto to eliminate Youhei. To make his escape easier, he pretends to be gravely wounded by using Youhei's intestines as a disguise. Once free, he reunites with Asirpa. While on a hunt, they stumble upon the tracks of two men: Tanigaki and the renowned bear hunter, Tetsuzō Nihei.
