Simon is smitten and has recently come across a book that makes him think he can manipulate the universe. His family, however, is skeptical of his newfound beliefs. At the same time, Grandpa has asked Deborah Adler to come over, but Grandma disapproves and is quite displeased about the visit. On another front, Liz is going to great lengths to secure a spot for her son, Adam, at a new school.
