Oliver Douglas, a lawyer from New York, decides to leave his position at the prestigious firm of Felton, O'Connell, Clay, Blakely, Harmon, Dillion & Pasteur and purchases a farm in Hooterville without ever seeing it. The townspeople are shocked that Haney found someone to buy the property and attempt to dissuade him from going through with the purchase. When Lisa sees the run-down farmhouse for the first time, she can't help but break down in tears.
