S1E10 Don't Call Us, We'll Call You

Oliver, frustrated by the lack of a phone connection, asks Mr. Kimball to persuade his mother, who runs the telephone company, to help them out. Although Kimball mentions that he and his mother are currently on bad terms, Oliver persuades him to mend their relationship. After they reconcile, Kimball's mother expresses her appreciation by quickly arranging for a phone installation—unfortunately, it’s placed on a pole right outside their bedroom window.
