As Drew's upcoming christening draws near, Mona and Dee Dee compete fiercely for the honor of being their brother's godmother. Their rivalry escalates as they buy extravagant gifts and attempt to win over Charles and Big Dee Dee. On their way back from a shopping spree, Dee Dee makes a hurtful jab at Mona, reminding her that she is only Drew's half-sister. This shocks Big Dee Dee, who insists that Dee Dee must apologize right away. Meanwhile, Phyllis decides to join Mona and Spencer at church, where she sets her sights on the charming widowed pastor, only to face stiff competition from an assertive church member eager to claim him for herself.
