Dee Dee discovers that her mother’s theater partner in an upcoming production is engaged to her hero, the renowned lawyer Maxine Shaw. Eager to mend the relationship from a previous awkward interview, Dee Dee’s hopes are dashed when Big Dee Dee, who funded the play to secure her own role, has Max's fiancé dismissed, fearing he might overshadow her. Meanwhile, Mona grapples with managing her colleagues after Kai is late, leaving her responsible for organizing a company retreat at a luxurious resort.
