Aboard a concealed human vessel, a team of advanced super-soldiers known as Spartans—comprised of John-117/Master Chief, Frederic-104, Kelly-087, Arthur-079, and Solomon-069—receive a briefing from an intelligence officer regarding their latest assignment. They learn that a Covenant fleet is currently ensnared in the system, transporting a crucial "package" that the Spartans are tasked with retrieving.
