In the latter half of the Jets' preseason debut against the Giants at New Meadowlands Stadium, the defense falters. Wide receiver Santonio Holmes steps in to guide rookie running back Joe McKnight, who is having a tough time. The competition for the fullback position heats up, while Vernon Gholston catches the attention of the coaches with his performance. Meanwhile, Darrelle Revis remains absent as his holdout drags on.
