Frustrated by his repeated failures, Skeletor turns his anger on Beast Man, casting him out of Snake Mountain and his evil ranks. Meanwhile, King Randor is gearing up for a royal tour of Eternia, with Man-At-Arms and a personal guard in tow. Though the King initially selects He-Man for the assignment, Adam, tired of downplaying his true abilities to keep his secret identity hidden, persuades Randor to pick him instead. Spotting the royal party, Beast Man, with the help of his Shadow People, launches a surprise attack. Determined to prove himself to his father, Adam resists becoming He-Man and tries to fend off the ambush as himself, but he is quickly overwhelmed, leading to Randor's capture, which Beast Man hopes will win back Skeletor's favor.
