Hetty Wainthropp Investigates (1996)
S3E8 Helping Hansi
Hansi, a German man in his later years, seeks Hetty's help in finding his sister, whom he lost track of during World War II. However, Hetty decides to hand the case over to Geoffrey and Janet when it's revealed that Hansi is facing additional distress. Someone at his retirement community has been making disturbing Nazi references toward him, and even vandalizing his garden with a Swastika. To investigate further, Hetty goes undercover as a potential resident and meets various intriguing characters, including a romantic veteran and a lonely widow, each with possible motives to harm Hansi. Meanwhile, Geoffrey and Janet track down Hansi's nephew, who is embarrassed by his uncle's German roots and prefers to stay hidden.
