S1E6 A x Surprising x Challenge

Gon and Kurapika meet up with Leorio and Killua at the Phase Two location. Satotz guides the remaining candidates to encounter the second phase examiners, Menchi and Buhara. To their shock, the examiners announce that the next challenge involves cooking skills. The task requires them to find pork, so the candidates are sent into the forest to hunt pigs. However, these pigs turn out to be carnivorous and attack the group. With Gon's help, they figure out how to defeat the pigs and each manage to secure one. When Buhara tastes their dishes, he passes them, but Menchi fails everyone. Anticipating a riot, Satotz calls upon Chairman Netoros of the Hunter Selection Committee to intervene. Netoros arrives to address Menchi's biased approach to cooking. He allows her to remain as an examiner and assigns a new challenge: to boil eggs laid by spider eagles on Mt. Split-in-Half.
