Late at night, Jane feels inspired and dives into her thesis. However, disaster strikes when Mateo accidentally spills orange juice on her laptop, leading to a crash and the loss of her progress. While seeking repairs for her computer, she encounters Dax, and with encouragement from her friend Lina (guest star Diane Guerrero), Jane starts to contemplate getting back into the dating scene. Meanwhile, Rogelio decides to hire his mother, Liliana, as his manager, only to quickly realize it was a misstep. After being attacked by his mother, now revealed as the crime lord Mutter, Rafael turns to Michael for help.
