Jane and Michael are both under pressure—Jane is focused on delivering the perfect novel, while Michael is anxious about his upcoming exam. Concern arises for Mateo when Jane and Rafael discover that other kids his age are ahead of him developmentally. Rogelio invites everyone to the final day of filming for his telenovela, but he is dissatisfied with the ending. Watching Xo and Rogelio together makes Darci reconsider her relationship with him. Meanwhile, Rafael is troubled to find out what Petra is involved in, but she reassures him that she’s acting in his best interest once again.
