Caught in a nighttime downpour, Dan and Johnny, who are transporting a prisoner, take refuge in a cabin. The dwelling belongs to Jack Brace, a notorious thief and killer, along with his enslaved Indian companion. She attempts to caution Dan about Jack's dangerous nature, but soon, Jack teams up with the prisoner to overpower the two lawmen. As they find themselves forced to dig their own graves, the Indian woman intervenes, assisting Dan and Johnny in their desperate fight for survival.
