Beth Denning, a free-spirited troublemaker, always seems to find chaos in her wake. Growing up in a rundown cabin with her indifferent father, she struggles to escape her circumstances. With a cattle drive approaching, Dan takes a firm stand, warning both her and her father to steer clear of any more trouble in Laramie. When Beth is discovered battered and on the brink of death following an incident at the Bird Cage, the townsfolk are ready to hang an innocent young man. However, when Beth awakens from her coma, she reveals the true assailant.
