While Grandma is visiting the family against their wishes, she sacrifices her leg to rescue Dewey from an oncoming truck. Overwhelmed by guilt, Dewey is set on retrieving her lost leg for a proper burial. Meanwhile, Francis reluctantly takes on the role of caregiver for his irritable and demanding grandmother. At the same time, Malcolm and Reese come up with a new prank that requires them to stay awake for several days, desperate to avoid the humiliation of waking up with their faces glued to the floor.
