S1E8 Chifusa Imprisoned

Chifusa and Kaede encounter Lord Hatomune Mie, who has fled his royal life and is living incognito among the villagers, earning their admiration. After a friendly tour of the village, their journey is abruptly interrupted when a Manyu swordsman ambushes them, abducting Chifusa and taking her to a local lord's palace. There, the swordsman seizes the Manyu scroll from her and experiments with its techniques. Desperate to save her, Kaede enlists Mie's help, and together they infiltrate the lord's stronghold. Mie skillfully overpowers the guards and frees Chifusa from her cell. As Mie confronts the local lord, Chifusa faces the Manyu swordsman and ultimately vanquishes him. Once they all escape together, Chifusa offers Mie a playful reward, which he unexpectedly declines.
