Mister Rogers' Neighborhood (1968)
S7E1 Painting The Walls [1326]
In this episode, Mister Rogers transforms the walls of the television house to a soothing blue. Previously, from Seasons 2 to 3, the walls were a cheerful yellow with brown wooden panels at the bottom. In Seasons 4 to 6, the shade brightened to a tan hue, and the wooden panels were removed. Additionally, various elements of the kitchen set received a refreshing update. The blue walls would remain a staple until the series concluded in 2001. This episode also marks the debut of Mister Rogers’ higher-pitched greeting of "You're alive," along with the introduction of a charming model town that became synonymous with the show.
