Former patients from Eisler Memorial Hospital reach out to lawyer Alfred Baul to defend Tenma. Baul, in need of help, turns to Fritz Vardemann. Vardemann meets with Tenma in prison and commits to defending him, but shortly after, he receives urgent news that his wife is going into labor with their first child. When Baul later visits Tenma, he’s stunned to realize that Baul is actually Roberto. Roberto then reveals his intentions, stating that Eva Heinemann will be his next target.
