Egon Weisbach, one of the initial detectives on the Liebert parents' murder case, is wrapping up his career on his final day before retirement. While transporting a convicted serial killer, he becomes curious about why the murderer targeted an individual who didn't align with his typical pattern. Meanwhile, Dr. Gillen is questioning various murderers, seeking insights into why they too killed people outside their usual preferences. Both Egon and Dr. Gillen come to the startling realization that these offenders committed their crimes at the behest of a young man, believed to be Johan.
