As events unfold in Ruhenheim, the body count continues to rise, with residents being killed by unknown assailants as well as one another. Grimmer and Lunge discover that the local hotel is owned by Klaus Poppe, who is also known as Franz Bonaparta. After apprehending a man who has been supplying weapons to the townspeople, they learn that one of the key figures behind the chaos is staying at a second hotel.
