The Homicide team is deeply affected when one of their own, coroner Dr. Matthews, becomes the latest victim. Detectives Angie Flynn and Oscar Vega throw themselves into the investigation with relentless focus. In the midst of this tragedy, Dr. Rogers steps in for her late friend at a major trial, only to uncover unsettling truths about his character. Meanwhile, Sergeant Cross crosses boundaries between his professional duties and personal feelings, creating tension with Angie.
