As soon as Yamato directs Naruto and the others to the bridge where Orochimaru and Kabuto are, Naruto's chakra surges, infused with the power of the Nine-Tailed Fox. With each passing moment, Naruto sprouts additional tails, fueled further by Orochimaru's taunts, which only intensify his rage. Meanwhile, Yamato reflects on Jiraiya's previous comments regarding the number of tails Naruto has manifested. Jiraiya elaborates on the past events and sheds light on Naruto's behavior when he is in the grip of the Nine-Tails transformation.
