Naruto begins to understand the devastation he encountered earlier. Yamato advises him not to depend on the demon within, asserting that Naruto possesses enough strength to resist its dark chakra. Meanwhile, Sai realizes he’s lost his book while taking a break. Team Kakashi examines Sai's book, which can be read from both sides, revealing two boys whose journeys converge in the center. Each page depicts battles against various foes, with the boys acquiring their weapons and armor along the way. Notably, the sections where the boys meet remain blank. As Orochimaru's team arrives at their hideout, they are unaware that Yamato's wood clone has followed them. Sai catches a glimpse of Sasuke’s silhouette and eyes, realizing that he is the one Naruto and Sakura have been searching for.
