Kabuto battles Team Kakashi and manages to release Sai. However, Sai, wanting to explore his connection with his brother by observing Naruto's relationship with Sasuke, turns on him. After being captured, Kabuto provides a cryptic hint about Sasuke's whereabouts to the team. With Yamato's wood clone left to keep an eye on Kabuto, Team Kakashi heads into Orochimaru's lair, splitting up in search of Sasuke.
