While Team Kakashi searches for Sasuke, Sai makes his way to Sasuke's room and wakes him up. Disturbed by the memory of Sasuke's Sharingan, Sai tries to subdue him. Suddenly, a massive explosion rocks the area, prompting Sakura, Naruto, and Yamato to arrive. Initially, Sakura attempts to hold Sai back to uncover his real intentions, but she freezes in shock when she sees her old teammate. In a surprising turn, Sai reveals that his true goal is to bring Sasuke back to Konoha, contradicting what the others believed.
