Naruto, accompanied by two jonin and an elder referred to as "the Eternal Genin," embarks on a mission to patrol the border of the Land of Fire after Orochimaru's assault. After several uneventful days, a band of enemy ninjas breaches the territory. Demonstrating his courage, the Eternal Genin recalls the teachings from the 2nd and 3rd Hokages and recognizes the parallels between Naruto and his father.
