During a conversation with his students, Shino reflects on how he and his teammates developed a strong bond. This prompts a flashback to the early days of Naruto, where they are on a mission assigned by Kurenai to confront a Jonin assassin from a rival village. Shino struggles in battle due to his poor taijutsu skills and falls into a deep sadness, even contemplating leaving the team he believes he’s not helping. However, when his friends find themselves in danger from the rogue, Shino rallies and returns to defeat the threat.
