Tsunade is engrossed in Jiraiya's latest book when reports come in about missing chunin and jonin-level ninjas. In response, the Fourth Hokage, Minato, launches a search operation, assigning teams of genin under the leadership of Guy and Kurenai. Team 7, led by Kakashi, is also sent out, but Naruto Uzumaki, the Hokage's son, unfortunately finds himself stuck with the reputation of being a failure.
