YoRHa units 2B and 9S come to the aid of a Resistance group under attack by machine lifeforms. The leader, known as Lily, leads them to the Resistance Camp, where they take refuge. While at the camp, 2B and 9S learn about distinctive machine lifeforms from a Resistance member named Jackass. This intel aligns with their current investigation mission. As a result, they decide to team up with Jackass to explore the Desert Zone.
