The theory suggests that the machine lifeforms in the area will slowly diminish in strength following Eve's defeat, as she was central to their network. 9S heads back to the Bunker for repairs and to update his data. Until 9S is fully repaired, 2B, alongside this unit and Pod 153, will proceed with the directive from Command to eliminate ?Adam?.
