Clive worries that the frigid spring climate is about to take a turn for the worse, especially with over 500 lambs yet to arrive. The family faces the daunting task of traversing vast expanses of land twice daily to ensure their sheep have enough food. When a ewe has difficulty nourishing her twin lambs, Amanda steps in to show Nancy how to siphon milk from another ewe and utilize the farmhouse's warming oven to revive a struggling newborn lamb.
