Momonga, an ordinary salaryman, has spent twelve years at the helm of a guild in the DMMO-RPG Yggdrasil. As the game prepares to close its servers for good, he decides to log in one final time to witness its end. However, when the clock strikes midnight, he finds that nothing has changed, and he remains in the game world.
