As the group steadily advances through Kaneshiro's Palace, Makoto grows closer to her teammates. With the path to the Treasure now clear, the Phantom Thieves face off against Kaneshiro's Shadow, exploiting his greed for money to bring him down. Just before the Palace crumbles, Kaneshiro reveals to the Phantoms that a man wearing a black mask has the ability to infiltrate Palaces.
