S1E22 The Art Game
After a traveling salesman leaves Uncle Joe with six paint-by-number canvases instead of cash, Joe decides to embark on a painting journey to earn some money. His first artwork catches the eye of Mr. Cheever, an antique dealer, who buys it, leading Joe to believe he’s discovered his true artistic talent. Unbeknownst to Joe, Cheever is only interested in the valuable frame. Joe, thinking he can upgrade, swaps it for another he likes better. As news of his sale spreads through Hooterville, local residents flock to see his work, but museum curator E. T. Gibbs criticizes them, leaving Joe disheartened. Cheever returns for the original frame, prompting Kate to devise a scheme that benefits both Cheever and lifts Joe's spirits.
