Uncle Joe is eager to excavate an ancient cave to transform it into a wine cellar for the hotel. Meanwhile, Kate receives a telegram from Brooks T. Webster, who is interested in potentially hosting a convention at the Shady Rest and is set to arrive later that day. Unfortunately, Uncle Joe inadvertently triggers a landslide, trapping Kate inside the cave. To rescue her, they'll need Ding Woodhouse's tractor, but it’s currently out of commission until morning. When Mr. Webster arrives and demands dinner, Kate’s absence poses a challenge. Uncle Joe devises a scheme to impress Mr. Webster, but are there others they should win over as well?
