S2E25 A Tale of Two Dogs

Crabwell Corners is in a legal battle with Hooterville over a cannon from the Spanish-American War, claiming it belongs to them. In the midst of this, Tad Winslow decides to put his lazy bloodhound, Speedy, up against Betty Jo's dog in a training competition. If Tad succeeds, Betty Jo must persuade her sister Billie Jo to accompany him to the upcoming Pioneer Dance. However, Betty Jo learns that Billie Jo is already going with her boyfriend, Henry Brewster. Kate and Uncle Joe try to intervene and cancel the bet, but the stakes escalate to include the fire engine or the cannon. Complicating matters, they discover Speedy isn’t really Tad's dog; he owns a well-trained German Shepherd. On contest day, the competition is tight, but Dog pulls a clever move to secure victory.
