S3E28 Kate Sells the Hotel

**Title: Kate Sells the Hotel** Plot: Carter Deming, a writer and the sole guest at the hotel, shares with Kate that he finds the hotel a far more productive workspace compared to his home in New York. Uncle Joe informs Kate that her recent loan application was rejected by the bank, leading her to realize her struggles in sustaining the hotel. Mr. Deming proposes to purchase the hotel from Kate, but the girls, unaware of the offer, express their desire to relocate to New York City. When Deming makes a generous offer, Kate reluctantly agrees. Upon announcing the sale, the girls are disheartened, revealing their true attachment to the Shady Rest and Hooterville. However, Kate has committed verbally to Mr. Deming, complicating matters. Joe brainstorms ways to convince Mr. Deming to withdraw his interest, but his efforts fail, and ultimately, Deming finds a reason to reconsider the purchase.
