Steve enjoys one-on-one outings with Billie Jo, Bobbie Jo, and Betty Jo, each time engaging in their preferred pastimes. This leads each of them to think that Steve has selected her as his special someone. Meanwhile, Uncle Joe encourages Steve to launch Carson-Elliot Air Express, but Steve is not ready for marriage. To divert the girls' attention, Kate and Steve come up with a strategy to frighten them away. However, their scheme nearly goes awry when it comes to Billie Jo.
