Kate Bradley finds herself in a showdown with Selma Plout, who is determined to win over pilot Steve Elliott for her daughter, Henrietta. Selma attempts to sweeten the deal with cash injections into Steve’s crop dusting venture and lavish meals. Taking her efforts a step further, Selma and Henrietta relocate to the hotel to be nearer to him. Aware that Billie Jo and Steve are now a couple, Kate devises a strategy and recruits Floyd and Charley to distract Selma and steer her away from Steve’s affections.
