S5E2 It's Not Easy to Be a Mother

Betty Jo believes it’s time for her to master cooking skills to attract a husband. Kate supports her and offers to guide her in the kitchen. However, when Kate discovers one of Billie Jo's nightclub costumes, she becomes curious and decides to accompany Billie Jo to the performance. Once at the club, Kate finds herself slipping into the role of an overzealous stage mom. Meanwhile, a phone call home reveals a troubling situation when Sam informs Kate not to worry about a problem that has arisen with Betty Jo's cooking, leading Kate to mistakenly panic and rush home to rescue her daughter from what she perceives as a disaster.
