S5E5 Pop Goes the Question

Uncle Joe confides in Kate, expressing his belief that Steve and Betty Jo are on the verge of marriage. Steve hints to Kate about his intentions to propose, leaving her conflicted as she still sees Betty Jo as her little girl. After a discussion with Sam, Kate ultimately decides to support Steve’s plans. Although Steve feels confident that Betty Jo will accept, he can’t shake the fear of rejection. With Uncle Joe catching wind of the situation, the news threatens to spread throughout the valley. Just as obstacles arise, Steve finally pops the question to Betty Jo, and she joyfully accepts.
