S6E12 A Cake from Granny

The notorious Homer Bedloe, the Cannonball's greatest foe, has made his way to the valley, seemingly just riding the train. Sam and Joe discover that Bedloe is scrutinizing Wendell’s performance, hoping to justify replacing the Cannonball with a bus service, which would spell disaster for the Shady Rest as there's no road access to the hotel. Janet devises a plan to counter Bedloe's negativity through kindness, organizing a surprise birthday party for him. A cake sent from Granny to the Elliotts becomes a key element of her strategy. In a heartwarming conclusion, Charles Lane's final portrayal of Bedloe sees him abandon his mission to close the Cannonball.
