S6E13 The Feminine Mistake
Bobbie Jo becomes captivated by a new book titled "The Feminine Mistake," which explores how men restrict women's identities by confining them to domestic roles instead of allowing them to pursue careers. Inspired, she sets out to find a job to carve out her own identity. However, her initial job searches end in failure. Sam offers her a chance to write for the local newspaper, but her article on Dr. Craig misrepresents her as arrogant, igniting controversy in the valley. Feeling guilty, Bobbie Jo considers leaving town, but Janet uses reverse psychology to help her appreciate her life in Hooterville. Ultimately, Bobbie Jo decides to stay, proclaiming, "I'm the only one who can bring that woman's touch to the Shady Rest..." Meanwhile, Uncle Joe attempts to create a motorized bicycle to avoid pedaling.
