Billie Jo returns to Hooterville after performing in Omaha, accompanied by her new boyfriend, comedian Rick Wayne. Unfortunately, Rick's initial reception in the valley isn't warm. Wanting to help the locals connect with him, Billie Jo invites Rick to perform in the charity radio show. However, she regrets her decision upon hearing his routine, which mocks Hooterville and its inhabitants. Determined to prevent this, Billie Jo seeks advice from Steve. With his support, she finds a way to steer Rick away from the offensive material, leading to a positive outcome.
