A glass pumpkin lantern suddenly shatters in the plaza outside Sakuragicho Station, exactly as a social media post tagged with #DREAMING had foretold. Just in time, Ikumi leaps in to shield a girl who is directly beneath it, ensuring she remains unharmed. Convinced of the validity of the #DREAMING rumors, Ikumi has been on a mission to rescue others. Later, she stops by the university to give Sakuta an invitation to their middle school reunion. Though Sakuta cautions her about being overly cautious in her attempts to help people, she brushes off his concerns.
