Concurrently, Richmond discusses with his father-in-law, Stanley, the stipulations for his participation in the uprising—specifically, the elimination of King Edward V and his brother, currently held captive in the Tower of London. Buckingham insists that only Richard III should carry out these killings. Meanwhile, Richard arrives in York, anticipating Buckingham's arrival. However, after being crowned, Richard is approached by the assassin Tyrell.
