As the second season kicks off, Tommy Gavin struggles to adapt to his new, quieter firehouse following the chaotic breakup with his previous crew. Compounding his issues, he is still on the hunt for his missing wife, who has taken their three children. Additionally, he grapples with the uncomfortable reality that his deceased cousin's widow is expecting his child. Overwhelmed by these mounting pressures, Tommy ultimately loses his composure during a confrontation with a street vendor peddling 9/11 memorabilia.
