Kawasemi Omito, a highly talented detective, heads a collaborative probe into a string of murders. Amamiya provides him with Toto, who Kawasemi finds so incompetent that he feels he might as well be invisible. Meanwhile, Ron arrives at the latest crime scene as a consultant, much to Kawasemi's annoyance.
